This is one of two quilts of the same pattern I finished this winter. They were commissioned by two nursing homes in Denmark. Three years ago the first “What Month Is I?” quilt ended up at a nursing home in Denmark, and that one has been journeying, six months at a time, from one to another of the nineteen Eden Alternative facilities in the country. Pat Sloan, the pattern’s author, noted that she hopes each home does not finally want its own! Carol L.
I finally finished this quilt for my grandson who is a hockey player. I started this at the first Towpath retreat. Cathy D
This is a pattern I made last year with jelly roll and it was perfect for my 10 year old grand daughter’s Christmas present 2020. Her new favorite color is aqua. Marilouise M.
These are the masks I made, one for me and 47 for the nursing home. Barbara C.

So I finally got to this Sue Pritt pattern as my first project during the social isolation. Robin B.
Like a lot of guild members during these strange times, I made some face masks per the request that went out. I have also made several of the shaped face masks for friends who work in essential businesses. Other than that, I'm piecing a queen size quilt and have finished just a table runner and 4 mini barn quilts. Vicki S.
I received the directions for the 5th step and because I did not buy fabric especially for this quilt I knew I would have to improvise a border. I had won a layer cake of Kaffe Fasset citrus hued fabrics. I decided to look in a box labeled “folk Art Quilt” where I found a square I made in a Towpath workshop with a teacher whose name I can’t bring to mind—I do remember she was from Ann Arbor. It happened to be exactly the right size and even had the same fabric I had used. So I made more squares and came up with this. Noel
The quilt I made during quarantine. Jan S.
Mask Donations:
A huge thank you to all of you who made masks for the nursing home. I delivered a total of 308 fabric masks and a box of N-95 masks donated by Sue Ellen’s husband. Tracy was overjoyed to receive them. She tells me that she has to write a protocol for distribution and staff has to sign a form. When all of that gets organized she will know if and when she needs more.
One staff member already wrote that he would wear the masks with pride knowing they were made by someone who cared.
We have made a difference in the lives and safety of staff and residents and in the process have felt useful when there isn’t much to do except stay 6 ft apart.
Donita gave me two packages of elastic and I intend to keep making the masks. If Tracy doesn’t need them someone will.
Hurrays for us and our stash!
