Events

We offer a variety of events throughout the year, including monthly meetings, workshops, our biennial Quilt Show and much more.

Monthly Meetings

Towpath Guild meets on the second Tuesday of the month September - June at the United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. Meetings start at 10 AM but come early to socialize starting at 9:30. Our general membership meetings include a business meeting, a program by a local or nationally known guest speaker and conclude with an opportunity for members to “Show and Tell” their latest quilts. Guests are welcome. Guests pay no fee for their first meeting and may attend two more meetings at $5.00 per meeting, after which they are required to join.

Programs

Special speakers are added to the monthly meetings in October, November, March, April and May. A part of each of those meetings is set aside for the speaker’s presentation. In addition, a workshop may be added that is taught by the presenter either after the meeting on Tuesday for a half day class, or on the following Wednesday for a full day class. Quilt Show

The Towpath Quilt Guild quilt show is held on odd years. The 2023 show was “Buzzing along the Towpath” on June 30 and July 1 at the Allyn Gym at Onondaga Community College. Our next show will be in 2025…..See quilt show details here.

Wednesday Stitchers

The Wednesday Stitchers are a group of Towpath members that meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the community room of the Sullivan Free Library in Chittenango from 10:00 am to noon. The attendance varies from two to fifteen. We bring our hand work projects, quilting problems and smiling faces and share our journey. All are welcome to join us.
